Paul’s aviation background gave him the cockpit discipline. His heart for teaching gave him the wings. And now, as a career coach, he guides others to reach cruising altitude in their own lives.

Transition from Corporate Aviation to Career Coaching

Upon leaving a long career in corporate aviation sales, Paul Cecala discovered a new passion in his own job search process which led him to discover a new professional direction.

Paul has a BS in Psychology from Florida Institute of Technology.

Prior to career coaching, Paul Cecala held a long career in corporate aviation sales, culminating to his final position as the Vice President of Aircraft Charter Sales for a nation-wide industry leader. Upon departing from aviation sales, the job search process itself became a focal point, leading him to discover a new professional direction. This led to positions in career services at trade and career schools, where he gained considerable satisfaction from placing graduates in roles and instructing individuals in job search strategies, supporting their entry into new fields, just like him.

As a student of the job search process, he finds particular interest in project planning a job search, networking, and securing offers from the interview.

For the next 25+ years, Paul Cecala, a Global Career Developmental Facilitator (GCDF) certified career coach, assisted over 3,000 people in either changing careers or starting their professional lives.

He has worked for several post-secondary career schools as Director of Career Services specializing in Biotech/pharmaceutical careers, Green Economy jobs, aviation, allied health, IT and general administrative professions. He has also worked as a program manager for lifelong learning and workforce development training at Fairleigh Dickinson University and County College of Morris. Additionally, he helped develop the job search training process for several NJ Department of Labor sponsored job search groups.

Paul has presented over 600 seminars on topics ranging from career pathing to interview follow-up for organizations including schools like Lincoln Technical Institute, Centenary College, Florida Institute of Technology, University of Connecticut and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University; networking and job search groups like the Professional Services Groups of Morris and Mercer Counties; and social clubs like Montclair Divorce Support Group and Out Professionals of NYC.
